Carabao kicks off “Carabao Coach the Coaches Season 3”

The sports coaching project further enhances the contribution of the Carabao Cup to help Thai football coaches to improve their skills to achieve world-class standards.

The Carabao Group Public Company Limited reinforces leadership in sports marketing and sponsorship of the Carabao Cup football tournament by providing an unparalleled football experience to the Thai football industry. The company partnered with the English Football League (EFL) to launch a third season of their "Carabao Coach the Coaches" initiative. This program will give experienced football coaches with exceptional abilities from England an opportunity to share their expertise and skills with Thai football coaches, ultimately providing invaluable benefits for young Thai football players.

 

This initiative is expected to bolster the abilities of Thai coaches, allowing them to impart valuable knowledge and skills to youth in Thailand. Those who complete the training in this program are expected to reach world-class levels of football coaching. So, they will be able to help young players hone their talents and skills, preparing them for potential professional football careers in the future.

EFL coaches on the list this are full of skills and experiences that will be passed along to Thai football coaches. Among these are Larry McAvoy, Millwall Football Club Professional Development Lead Phase; Millwall Football Club goalkeeping coach Dom Colman; Lauren Asquith, former women's player and now Derby County's Football Club’s player care manager and Josh Butler, a mentor and a member of the coaching staff at Derby County Football Club.

 

Kamoldist Smuthkochorn, the Deputy Managing Director of Carabao Group Public Company Limited, said, “In this training activity, both theory and practice will be optimized so that participants can apply and enhance their skills to teach young footballers how to practice and play the game properly. Additionally, it allows participants to ask questions and exchange knowledge and experiences closely. Like no other, this program offers exclusive training, plus accommodation and food, and it is absolutely free.”

 

Under the Carabao Coach the Coaches program, 360 coaches will be trained in six groups of 60 persons each. The two-day training took place at Rajpracha Pakchong, Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima. The training schedule for the first group was on March 24 - 25, 2023, the second on March 26 - 27, 2023, the third on March 28 - 29, 2023, and the fourth, the fifth, and the sixth was held on April 1 - 2, 3 - 4, and 5 - 6, 2023 respectively.
