Carabao Group named among Thailand's Top Corporate Brands 2022

Carabao Group Public Company Limited has been award for Top Corporate Brand in the food and beverage business category for the year 2022. The award was given during the "ASEAN and Thailand's Top Corporate Brands 2022" event, held by Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy. This is the second time the company has received such an honor.

On January 18, 2023, at Chulalongkorn University Auditorium, Kamoldist Smuthkochorn, Carabao Group's deputy managing director, received Thailand's Top Corporate Brands 2022 honorary plaque from Prof. Dr. Bundhit Eua-arporn, president of Chulalongkorn University.

The award, claimed Mr. Kamoldist, illustrates the organization's vision of being a world-class product and a world-class brand as it continues to invest in brand building to achieve steady and sustainable growth through diverse and comprehensive marketing strategies.

He said, “Key factors that have influenced the organization's growth and made the Carabao brand successful not just at the national level, but also at the global level in recent years, including the sponsorship of the "Carabao Cup" a football tournament in the United Kingdom, with the final taking place at Wembley Stadium in February of this year.”

Furthermore, over the past year, the firm has taken several efforts to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable growth and development, similar to other multinational organizations in other countries. As part of this, it exhibits transparency by disclosing crucial environmental, social, and governance information, as well as environmental policies and a code of conduct for business partners.

The company also takes into account the challenging goal of climate change, by collecting and disclosing environmental data in accordance with the framework established by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO). This dedication is reflected in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) scores, which has grown five times over the previous year.

For the 13th consecutive year, ASEAN and Thailand's Top Corporate Brands 2022 was organized to honor businesses with the strongest corporate brand value in Thailand and ASEAN. For 2022, the event was held by Chulalongkorn University's Master's Degree Program in Brand Management and Marketing, Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, which has been the developer of CBS Valuation (Corporate Brand Success Valuation) since 2011.

The corporate brand value assessment tool considers data from the annual report's financial statements, which is information that listed firms publicly report to the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). The assessment employs the CBS Valuation methodology and is based on a three-year average result.

ASEAN now has six stock exchanges: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The CBS Valuation methodology integrates marketing, finance, and accounting elements in a systematic manner, allowing corporate brand value to be calculated and transformed into a set of financial statistics without favoritism.
